Why should I choose Sterling Green Card cover?
A Green Card is documented proof that a British motorist has the adequate cover legally required for the country they are driving in.
When driving a UK-registered vehicle outside of the EU, motorists usually need to present the documentation related to their insurance at the borders of each country they visit. You can either buy insurance ahead of your trip or at the border itself.
Sterling has access to a variety of insurance providers to find the best Green Card insurance for your trip to Ukraine. Your vehicle must be UK-registered and our cover can include the countries your plan to travel through. We can also arrange travel documents before your departure.

What is the current UK government guidance on travelling to Ukraine?
The UK government currently advises against all travel to Ukraine and recommends that all UK nationals in Ukraine register their presence with the FCDO. If you decide to travel to Ukraine against UK government advice, you should make sure you are aware of the implications of this as well as the potential difficulties in obtaining assistance.
You should also take note of the local laws and regulations in place – including emergency legislation relating to the imposition of martial law in Ukraine – and be aware that rules may change with no notice. In particular, Ukrainian or dual national males between the ages of 18-60 are currently prohibited from leaving the country.
We understand that some customers will have urgent humanitarian or family reasons for visiting Ukraine and will consider applications for cover in these circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
